Could Earth Defend Itself From An ET Invasion?

While it's true that Russia has a very sophisticated air defense system capable of engaging and taking down targets at near-space altitudes -- as reported by RIA Novosti, Russia's leading news agency -- there's one potential enemy that country isn't ready to confront: aliens from space.
During a recent conference at the Titov Main Test and Space Systems Control Center near Moscow, a journalist asked if Russia's vast array of security systems could protect the country from a possible extraterrestrial invasion, according to Russia Today.
"So far, we are not capable of that," center deputy chief Sergey Berezhnoy responded. "We are unfortunately not ready to fight extraterrestrial civilizations. Our center was not tasked with it. There are too many problems on Earth and near it."
OpenMinds.tv reports that the Titov space center, controlled by the Aerospace Defense Troops, monitors space objects and identifies potential threats to Russia in space and from space -- but there doesn't seem to be a clearly defined plan from which to defend against ruthless ETs.

Taking this to the next level includes asking if any single or group of nations on this planet could successfully fend off an alien invasion.
To be sure, no government has ever confirmed the existence of a spacecraft under ET control. Many countries over the years, however, have scrambled pilots to chase unidentified flying objects. While these objects could have been many things, if they were from a distant planet, we might assume that the technology needed to travel so far vastly exceeds our own capabilities.
To explore that issue, it helps to consider if there has ever been a single instance where a UFO encounter by military or civilian eyewitnesses could have been construed as a sample of earthlings confronting a superior, out-of-this world technology.
In 1969, the United States Air Force terminated its 20-year UFO study known asProject Blue Book. Of the 12,618 sightings reportedly studied by the military, 701 remained "unidentified."
Project Blue Book -- and, therefore, the military and government -- publicly concluded that 1) no UFO investigated by the Air Force indicated any national security threat; 2) no UFOs investigated represented "technological developments or principles beyond the range of present-day scientific knowledge"; and 3) there was no evidence "indicating that sightings categorized as 'unidentified' are extraterrestrial vehicles."
Despite those official pronouncements, other things happened that, when truly examined, appeared to contradict the government's stance on UFOs. Was the public lied to about UFOs for many decades and if so, why?
The following items are just the tip of what may be a very big iceberg. These haven't been fabricated -- all are true events.
1947: Amid reports of disc- or saucer-shaped objects outperforming any known aircraft, a top secret evaluation was performed by the Air Material Command, headed by Lt. Gen. Nathan Twining, which stated that the reported circular objects were "real, not imaginary, flat on the bottom, domed on top and capable of intelligent, evasive maneuvers."
1966: U.S. Treasury Agent Donald Flickenger and several Border Patrolmen in North Dakota witnessed an astounding display of maneuverability by a UFO which defied the known and accepted scientific principles of physics and gravity. "What I saw was a metallic object that appeared to be about 30 feet in diameter and was probably about 15 feet tall at its highest point -- disc-shaped, no sound to the object at all. It hovered in our area for about three minutes, about 20 to 30 feet off the ground. Suddenly it rose up, turned over on edge, and the only thing I could see at that point were three knob-like structures that were sticking out from the underside of the object. It started spinning very rapidly, and as it spun, it started lifting up in the air and picked up speed, and all of a sudden, with a real sharp burst of speed, shot straight up in the air and was gone in a matter of seconds!"
1973: A terrifying encounter took place between a four-man crew aboard an Army helicopter and a UFO over Ohio. The mid-air drama was witnessed by several ground observers and is considered one of the most impressive sightings in history. The helicopter commander, Maj. Larry Coyne, and his crew thought at first that the light on the horizon was a radio tower beacon: "The crew chief informed me that the light was closing on the helicopter -- coming at us on a collision course," Coyne told this reporter in 1975. "I observed that the object became bigger and the light became brighter, and I began to descend the helicopter toward the ground to get out of the collision course path. It was like a missile locked onto the helicopter. We braced for impact and I looked up and observed this craft stopped directly in front of us -- stopped -- it was hovering right over the helicopter!" Coyne and his crew described the craft as "cigar-shaped, no wings, no vertical or horizontal stabilizer, approximately 60 feet long and 20 feet in height."
Coyne went on to describe how a bright green light came out of the UFO and turned the whole cabin of the helicopter green. And then they realized that their helicopter was somehow being pulled up, "climbing 1,000 feet a minute, with no changes in the control. We went from 1,700 feet to 3,500 in a matter of seconds and never knew it!" The UFO eventually released the helicopter and the Army didn't attempt to prevent the crew from telling their story to the press. Several years later, Coyne was allowed -- through efforts from this reporter -- to recount the UFO incident in front of the Special Political Committee of the United Nations -- a presentation, incidentally, that the U.K. tried to prevent from happening.

Watch a television segment focusing on the Coyne UFO-Helicopter encounter:
1980: Peruvian air force fighter pilot Col. Oscar Santa-Maria was ordered to takeoff and shoot down a sphere-shaped UFO that was in restricted airspace near an air base. Of the more than 20-minute encounter, Santa-Maria, an expert pilot, told a panel of former members of Congress earlier this year, "It was trying to avoid me while I was pursuing it and I was trying to fire. When I first fired, these were bursts of 30 millimeter shells -- a single one can destroy a truck. I shot 64 and nothing happened at all. The possibility of not hitting my target was practically impossible." The object Santa-Maria chased was 30 feet in diameter, with a dome on top, no visible engine, wings or windows. "Once I landed, I met with intelligence officers and we looked at all catalogues to see what possible spy object this might have been, but there was nothing similar to what I had observed, and we were unaware of any type of technology like this on Earth that existed."
1997: Former Arizona Gov. Fife Symington mocked thousands of people who claimed to see mysterious lights over Phoenix. He even brought out one of his staffers dressed in a cheesy ET costume during a press conference. Ten years passed before Symington apologized and admitted that he, too, witnessed an extraordinary, boomerang-shaped unknown flying craft over Phoenix. "I was expecting to see something in the distance, but was awestruck when this thing went overhead, moving steadily and quietly," Symington told HuffPost, also admitting a taboo about elected officials and UFOs. "If you hold a high public office, then the minute you start talking about UFOs or extraterrestrials, the media immediately tees off and ridicules it. If you're an elected official, you really need to be careful about what you say, because the media can just totally destroy your credibility."
There are many more credible stories like the above UFO encounters. Yet, they seem to contradict the ongoing official Air Force contention that there's nothing of technological or scientific interest worth pursuing.
Someone is obviously not telling the truth.
It would probably be a good idea if the countries of the world were united as Earthlings in case some evil-doer extraterrestrials decide to stop by to check out our vulnerabilities as a species. Better to be friends instead of appetizers.

UFO Picture From North Devon, England Sparks A Flurry Of Reports

Last weekend, photographer Rob Tibbles, of the North Devon Journal, snapped some images at the Fullabrook wind farm in the southwest region of the UK. When he later examined his pictures, he saw that he had captured a mysterious object in the sky above the turbines.
The grey-colored, oval-shaped UFO, isolated in the above close-up image, becomes even more interesting when viewed from the original perspective in which it was taken.
The following composite photo, provided to The Huffington Post by the North Devon Journal, clearly shows the object at three different magnifications.
ufoukfullabrookfarm
The Journal contacted Chivenor's 22 search and rescue division -- a British military base operated by the Royal Marines -- who suggested a training exercise they were engaged in Saturday may have generated UFO reports.
After the image was published in the North Devon Journal, area citizens began to report their own unusual aerial sightings in the past week.
-- Matt Naughton told the Journal that, while "Driving to Torrington on Thursday night, I saw strange bright lights in the sky and the car had flashes of blue in it. Very creepy!"
-- Erica Whiteley reported her husband had seen something unusual above Fullabrook: "He spotted a strange bright object in the sky on Friday evening at about 5 p.m., looking from Swimbridge across to Barnstaple in the direction of the wind turbines."
-- Jacqueline Leighton Boyce, of Dulverton, reported to the Journal that "I too saw a strange, very large bright thing in the sky on Saturday, Nov. 23 about dusk time." Boyce managed to film the light and then a friend took the video and slowed it down.

Here is the slowed-down video taken by Jacqueline Leighton Boyce:
Assuming the original image and video shown here haven't been tampered with and something very unusual -- and still unexplained -- was captured in the sky over Southwest England -- the Journal has solicited people to send in details of what they saw and/or photographed.

New Twist In Decades Old Alien Autopsy Controversy

A story is circulating around the Internet that suggests Russia has known about alien civilizations for many decades.
Part of this fantastic tale involves a UFO that allegedly crashed in 1969, was recovered by Russian military (see image below) and a dead alien that was reportedly autopsied, according to TheVoiceofRussia.com.
1969russiaufocrash
If this scenario sounds familiar, it's probably because of the most fabled and legendary story involving an alleged crashed UFO and the subsequent autopsy of its alien crew: Roswell, N.M., where those events supposedly occurred in 1947.
Despite official explanations that it was a secret military spy balloon that came down in New Mexico, the Roswell crash has kept the public enthralled for decades.
Not to be outdone, the nearly identical story emerged from the Soviet Union about an unknown craft that crashed near the former district of Sverdlovsk in 1969.
Maybe it's just easier to pronounce Roswell vs. Sverdlovsk.
But before we get all excited about the Soviet UFO-autopsy story, it should be pointed out that it's not new. The twist in this storyline is why the Russian event is suddenly getting more media attention than it has in the past.
This entire alleged incident was actually reported on a 1998 TNT special, "The Secret KGB UFO Files," and hosted by former James Bond actor Roger Moore. The program showed startling filmed segments of the alleged UFO crash -- as well as several minutes of the supposed autopsy of the dead alien.
CAUTION: Whether or not the autopsy is real, the following video is quite graphic.
Most serious UFO researchers consider this story to be a complete hoax.
In his 1998 review of "The Secret KGB UFO Files," NBC News space consultant, former rocket scientist and UFO skeptic James Oberg pointed out how a disclaimer at the beginning of the program said: "What you are about to see may or may not be true."
"And at the end," Oberg writes, "two screens full of warning messages were even more to the point. One paragraph read: 'The Producers disclaim and do not guarantee the accuracy or truthfulness [of] any of the documentation or materials that have been provided by any source ... The materials and opinion presented on this program, including documents, film, photo, or video footage come from the sources and are not the responsibility of the Producers.'
"They couldn't have been more explicit in their announcement that the whole series of episodes about the recovery of a crashed flying saucer in 1969 near Sverdlovsk, and a subsequent autopsy ... was a made-up story with posed footage," Oberg wrote.
If, indeed, this was all a staged hoax, why would The Voice of Russia -- which currently broadcasts to 109 million listeners in 160 countries and is considered one of the top five radio broadcasters in the world -- suddenly circulate this story again now?
Here is more 1969 footage of the alleged crashed UFO from Russia.
The Voice of Russia also includes references to unconfirmed reports that a UFO crashed or was shot down near the city of Prohlandnyi, in the USSR on Aug. 10, 1989. Like the previous story, this one included alleged alien bodies.
Those aren't the only dubious stories involving UFOs and aliens to originate in Russia without any major media fanfare in the U.S. or anywhere else.
Earlier this year, the Russian Internet newspaper, Pravda.ru, suggested that a group of scientists had been in contact with extraterrestrials.
According to Pravda, a retired Ministry of Defense official, Alexey Savin, revealed to journalists that "in the late 1980s, a group of researchers from the Expert Management Unit of General Staff managed to make a contact with representatives of another civilization."
The Pravda story reported how the Ministry of Defense, in the mid 1980s, "organized a large-scale study of paranormal phenomena. The military training site was not a random choice. Experts have long come to the conclusion that UFOs inevitably appear in places where military equipment and weapons are tested."
Vasily Yeremenko, a member of the Academy of Security, Defense and Law Enforcement -- and formerly with the Soviet Union's security agency, the KGB -- was quoted by Pravda as saying that "the UFO topic today is ubiquitous. Precisely because of its scandalous nature, serious scientists are not willing to identify their position on this issue."
Aside from the question of why the 1969 crashed UFO-ET autopsy is making the rounds again, is it a surprise that mainstream U.S. media hasn't paid more attention to these stories over the years?

Were Humans Genetically Engineered By Aliens?

Intelligent Design Behind our Human DNA

As scientists began to unravel and decode the human DNA molecule, they found something amazingly unexpected — a computer programmer’s exquisite ‘language’ composed of some 3 billion genetic letters.
“One of the most extraordinary discoveries of the twentieth century,” says Dr. Stephen Meyer, director of the Center for Science and Culture at the Discovery Institute in Seattle, Wash.,
“Was that DNA actually stores information-the detailed instructions for assembling proteins-in the form of a four-character digital code” (quoted by Lee Strobel, The Case for a Creator, 2004. As George Williams explains it:)
“The gene is a package of information, not an object. The pattern of base pairs in a DNA molecule specifies the gene. But the DNA molecule is the medium, it’s not the message”

It`s a design from an intelligent source

To any discerning mind, this type of nanotech high-level information has been deduced to originate only from a seemingly intelligent source. As Lee Strobel explains:

“The data at the core of life is not disorganized, it’s not simply orderly like salt crystals, but it’s complex and specific information that can accomplish a bewildering task-the building of biological machines that far outstrip human technological capabilities”

For example, the precise nature of this genetic language is such that the average error that is not caught turns out to be one error per 10 billion letters. If an error occurs in one of the most important parts of the code, in the genes, it causes diseases such as sickle-cell anemia. Yet even the best and most apt typist in the world couldn’t come close to making only one man`s DNA, reveals we are someone else ‘ property.

Humans were genetically engineered by aliens and according to ufologist Der Voron, author of Unidentified Flying Objects: Starcraft, in an exclusive interview with Weekly Universe. Voron built his astounding scientific theory on the lack of evidence linking Cro-Magnon man to still earlier forms on the evolutionary chain. This so-called “Missing Link” implies a jump in evolution that can only be explained by a miracle or by alien intervention!

As explained exclusively to the Weekly Universe, Der Voron says: “Scientists cannot find the ‘Missing link’ that links Cro-Magnon man [our own immediate ancestor] to earlier human forms yet they’ve found and continue finding the remains of many less advanced forms that existed long before Cro-Magnon.”

According to evolutionary theory, early men evolved into the Missing Link, which evolved into Cro-Magnon man, which evolved into modern Homo Sapiens us! But for the theory to be valid, the Missing Link must have existed about the same time as the Neanderthal which means that remains like (tools, fossils and artwork) should be as common as Neanderthal remains. Yet while Neanderthal remains abound, but the “Missing Link” concerning our DNA still remains missing!

Voron: “If scientists cannot find Missing Link remains, yet easily find Neanderthal remains it may be because the Missing Link never existed! And that Cro-Magnon modern man’s ancestors were genetically engineered!”

But by whom? Voron sees only one possible answer: By certain intelligent beings of extraterrestrial origin as far as it can be proved or assumed due to other pieces that is constantly missing in humans origin! These genetic engineers were from an ancient but technologically advanced terrestrial civilization, because no remains from such a civilization have been found. Voron scoffs at the simplistic either/or debate between Creationism (intelligent design) and Evolution (chance or random occurrence).

He thinks the universe is big enough for both theories to be partially-true and other theories too! The extraterrestrial creation theory like the “Enuma Elish” ( Sumerian story about our creators the Annunaki ) is the most probable explanation for humans rapid development in science. Because the evidence for that, is all around us every were on earth. From stone monuments to ancient light bulbs.

Voron Explains: “I don’t think that today’s level of science can yet solve the puzzle of the origins of the entire universe, but perhaps the problem of our origins can be discussed in the following way: “Calculations show that the chance emergence of life, and moreover of intelligent life, is very low. It’s more likely that a hurricane can compose a new Boeing aircraft from the fragments of a broken one lying on the ground. But because the Universe is giant infinite! this chance did occur, and then life, and then intelligent life, emerged.

“This intelligent life created a civilization that we can call God which then engineered life and intelligent life in other star systems. In doing so, they may have established bases in these star systems similar to the giant cylinder-shaped flying saucers that are sometimes observed from Earth and that are theorized to be mother ships (i.e. alien bases), due to their large sizes and observations of other saucers departing from them. And maybe this alien civilization not only created life and mother ships, but star systems, planets, quasars, and…?”

Sci-fi author Arthur C. Clarke famously stated that, to a sufficiently primitive people, a high-tech civilization will look like magic. Likewise, Voron’s amazing conclusions combine evolutionary theory, creationism, and ancient Aliens whom our primitive ancestors may have called God!

“The key point is that the Universe is not only endless,” says Voron, “but eternal and this means that this creation/evolutionary process may have occurred innumerable times, in
innumerable variations.”

NASA Photo Confirms UFO On Mars: Rover Records UFO As It Streaks Across The Martian Sky, Video

Eyewitness states: Observing the sky with the green filter of it panoramic camera, the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit came across a surprise: a streak across the sky.

The streak, seen in the middle of this mosaic of images taken by the navigation and panoramic cameras, was probably the brightest object in the sky at the time.

Scientists theorize that the mystery line could be either a meteorite or one of seven out-of-commission spacecraft still orbiting Mars.

Because the object appeared to move 4 degrees of an arc in 15 seconds it is probably not the Russian probes Mars 2, Mars 3, Mars 5, or Phobos 2; or the American probes Mariner 9 or Viking 1.

That leaves Viking 2, which has a polar orbit that would fit with the north-south orientation of the streak. In addition, only Viking 1 and 2 were left in orbits that could produce motion as fast as that seen by Spirit. Said Mark Lemmon, a rover team member from Texas A&M University, Texas,

“Is this the first image of a meteor on Mars, or an image of a spacecraft sent from another world during the dawn of our robotic space exploration program? We may never know, but we are still looking for clues.”

Multiple Phenomena on Rocky Mountain Ranch

Most ATSers know of the property in Utah’s Uinta Basin where all sorts of strange paranormal things were reported as taking place – “Skinwalker Ranch” in the 1990s.

But some may not be aware of the “Colorado UFO Ranch” in the Rocky Mountains where 2 decades earlier a similarly bizarre ‘paranormal theme park’ seemed to exist? Cattle mutilations occurred, UFOs, ET humanoids and Bigfoot type creatures appeared. Then there were the strange messages broadcast over stereo speakers, electrical power failures, and truly bizarre intrusions around the house.

An investigation was made by John S. Derr and R. Leo Sprinkle for an APRO (Aerial Phenomena Research Organization) report in 1978. The witness wished to remain anonymous. Initially they said nothing, fearing they would be treated as crazy, but finally reported their experiences as the phenomenon escalated. The story was covered in Timothy Good’s book “Alien Liaison”. The witnesses were a group of friends who pooled resources to purchase and re-furbish the cattle ranch in the space of a few months in the mid-1970s.

There was ‘Jim’, a former USAF Security and Public Relations Officer, ‘John’ an executive for a large corporation and his wife ‘Barbara’ and three sons. There was also a former law enforcement officer who has never been named (even with an alias) who talked about the events.

Almost as soon as the group had settled themselves into the ranch strange events began to occur.

They experienced a variety of unusual events:

1. A humming sound was often prevalent throughout the ranch house, although this noise could not be traced to the newly re-wired electrical system, or any devices in the house. The humming sound seemed to follow a pattern of being heard during a wind storm and for an hour or so after a wind storm.

2. Noises were heard as if an intruder was walking around the outside of the ranch Sounds like someone opening a car door and beating on the walls and doors of the house were heard.

3. Strange "Big Foot" like creatures were seen in the woods.

4. Multiple UFO sightings occurred. One including 9 glowing disks setting down near the pond, a light flash was observed by Jim and John from the windows, simultaneously Barbara who was sitting on a couch experienced a "blow to the head” falling unconscious to the floor. She was fortunately revived in less than a minute.

5. A large "circle" (approximately 75 feet in diameter) in a clearing would not support vegetation although by 1978 it seemed that grass and weeds were growing again.

6. One morning Jim awoke, but was paralysed by something, and saw a tall, skinny creature wearing a helmet standing in the room by the glass door, observing him. The creature appeared to have 3 tubes connected to the suit. He was able to scream and the creature disappeared.

7. Whilst neighbouring ranchers did not suffer electrical power outages the ranch would often be plunged into darkness without electricity.

8. During one of these electrical blackouts, all of the radio and stereo systems on the property appeared to broadcast a message saying, "You have been allowed to remain. Do not cause us to take action which you will regret."

9. Around the time of UFO activities, a cow belonging to the ranch was found to have been mutilated.

10. A young bull, not belonging to the ranch was found with his head twisted back various organs had been removed with what appeared to be surgical precision.

11. Jim spotted a landed disk in the woods, with two humanoids nearby. He and the oldest son in the family saw what could only be described as a box (3 ft x 1.5 ft wide x 1.5 ft thick) emitting strange hums and other sounds whilst multicoloured lights flashed on and off. Jim believes the humanoids were expecting him and was told by one of “humanoids” not to go near the "box”. Then a Big Foot like creature was seen walking toward the box and suddenly fell to the ground. The humanoid said to Jim, "As you see, it can be lethal."

They spoke to him in perfect English and told him that they were sorry for the inconvenience and disturbances on the ranch. They said that they expected some changes to occur in the events which were happening at the ranch. However, after this encounter, both the strange events, and level of tension increased for the residents of the ranch.

15. A fire began on the front porch of the ranch house, apparently started by electrical wiring in contact with paint buckets on the porch.

The residents eventually left the ranch due to the fear, stress and extreme weirdness they had encountered by 1978.

A local law enforcement officer was also interviewed about the odd happenings at the ranch. He stated that in 1975 there had been hundreds of cattle mutilations reported to which he had been asked to investigate. The following year there were less than a hundred. By 1977 there were less than ten reports. This he said was due to following a policy to not attend to these type of calls to reduce the number of official reports. Although he was unsure if the directions had come from the government or were something more locally enforced.

The officer also recalled a number of UFO sightings whilst out on night patrol. Although he had not seen humanoids himself he did feel that all the usual explanations of hallucinations, aircraft and military tests did not adequately explain what was going on in the area.

Cattle mutilations, UFOs, Bigfoot, strange poltergeist like activity and humanoids who appear to speak perfect English. What was going on?

Why do these areas seem to exist?

Are they portals to other dimensions?

Is there some kind of unknown entity or force that exists and has the ability to trick human minds?

Or is there a down to earth sceptical explanation?
